My Lamentations

"...When laughter first manifests itself in the infant, it is an incipient cry...What if everything in the world were a misunderstanding, what if laughter were really tears?" -Soren Kierkegaard

"The Race Goes Not...

To The Swiftest, But To Those Who Keep On Running" (Succes; Persistence).

All I can say is, "Wow!"  It feels like I just finished a 50 Kilometer marathon!  Let me fill you in on what has been going on since I last blogged.  First of all, school swung into high gear and just now has come to a screeching halt.  Today was the last day of classes and boy am I greatful for that.  Now, I just have to survive finals week and then I am out for the summer! Praise God!  Also, my family finally has a place to call home.  Two weeks ago I helped my family move out of a one bedroom apartment that was a little bigger than my dorm room into a three bedroom house almost four hours away from my current residence at college.  They have been living in this apartment; which we were most thankful for, (Thanks Bob and Silvia!), since the end of January/ beggining of Feburary.  I can tell you that our new home isn't at all like our old home.  First it is located only 50-100 yards from a four lane highway and has absolutly no trees anywere in site!  Plus the house, while newer than the last one, is considerably smaller and doesn't feel like home to me.  Then again, my home is here at the college now.  Where I used to live, the nearest major highway was 20 miles away, the nearest neighbor was 2 miles away, and we lived in the middle of a Boy Scout Reservation which is covered with trees!  While I was helping my family move I began to really miss trees.  You've got to understand that trees mean privacy and I love to walk in the forest and explore.  Try looking out of your window, after being used to seeing nothing but trees, and being able to see over 4 city blocks to the neighbors house, across the street to a life flight helicopter, 4 lane highway, well, you get the picture.  But I don't want to sound ungreatful, because the last house came with the job, so we got eveicted.  The new house is ours!  So at least I have a permanent home now!  Also, we are only ten minutes from one of my favorite small cities, Sedilia (sorry about spelling!).  Which is good because, with my mom's heart problems, we are only ten minutes from her cardiologist and a hospital.  This is better than the 1 and a half hour commute it used to be.  I have also been dealing with a lot in my personal life lately that has really been testing my trust in God and my faith in my friends.  I have definitly been on a roller-coaster ride the last week or so.  However, God is still good!  And through this He has taught me several lessons.  But I will save those lessons for tomorrow!  Until then, have a good night.  Also for some reason my last blog is too big to fit in the page width wise, so it is at the very bottom of this web page.  If my page appears blank, scroll all the way down!  It's there.   Trust me.  Anyways, I hope you have a good weekend and that God will bless you in all you do.  Remeber the begining quote!
